LifeSpeak is bringing back a very exciting event which made its debut in Toronto in April 2008. Making it Work is a half day conference specifically designed to provide pregnant women, women on maternity leave and women recently returning to work with expert insight and information on important issues. This year, we are expanding our popular seminar to two cities: Toronto on November 19th and Calgary on November 20th.
This unique half-day event builds on the success of LifeSpeak’s in house workshop series. It was developed to help women navigate many of the challenges facing new working mothers while connecting with other professionals to develop strategies for balancing busy careers with the demands of family. Participants will hear from renowned experts on topics ranging from nutrition, and health, to relationships and parenting techniques and will have the chance to meet other working mothers in a comfortable environment. It promises to be an inspiring and incredible experience for all attendees!
Benefits to Attendees:
- Learn from leading Canadian experts on a wide range of topics that are directly relevant to working mothers;
- Network with other professional women;
- Share tips for building a successful career and a rewarding personal life; and
- Develop strategies for balancing career and family responsibilities.
Benefits to Employers:
- Demonstrate commitment to family-friendly values;
- Maintain connections with women on maternity leave;
- Decrease post-leave attrition rates;
- Support women in their efforts to meet both professional and personal goals; and
- Strengthen reputation as an employer of choice for women.
